When I became a below-knee amputee in 2020, I had no roadmap. Cory Johnson at Hanger Clinic brought clarity to a confusing world of options and systems. His experience is vast, but what stands out is his “whatever it takes” approach to fit — he keeps working until it’s right. He’s helped me move from basic mobility to athletic legs and even modified my sled hockey setup. Cory didn’t just build my prosthetics; he helped me re-imagine what my life could look like.

Ability Ottobock.care is an amazing organization with incredible clinicians and staff support. They listen, educate, advocate, teach, and learn. They extend their knowledge base to me. There is always careful attention to detail and thorough analysis of my gait, which allows me to walk almost 10,000 steps nearly every day as a bilateral above knee amputee. The team at Ability believed in me and have helped make my dreams come true. We love everyone there. The photo attached is the day I was fitted with amazing new knees and feet with my team! This office is great for new Amputees as well and those of us that have been Amputees for a while. They are good for all types of Amputees. Also has someone great for special foot wear.

Mark was recommended to me by a Hanger executive at their annual Empowerfest. I'd mentioned that I needed someone who was skilled and creative to design multiple prosthetics for me due to the various sports I compete in (bodybuilding, running, cycling). Mark and his team gave me their undivided attention and focus and worked tirelessly with me to build the prosthetics I needed. Many times they let me stay the entire day and cleared out some office space for me to work in so I didn't have to take the day off, and they worked on my socket in between clients long after my own appointment time had ended. The clinic is more than 2 hours away from me and there are MANY qualified prosthetists closer, but this is still worth the drive.
